This is a one-year course that will develop the skills that you need for a career within hairdressing. As well as teaching you essential and artistic hairdressing skills and techniques, the Level 1 Diploma will also develop your practical skills to prepare you for salon life. You will learn everything from shampooing and conditioning services, plaiting and twisting hair, creating a hair and beauty image and the art of styling hair, right through to communication, teamwork, and how to provide excellent customer service. 101-Introduction to the hairdressing industry 102- Presenting a professional image 103- Styling hair 105 -Plaiting & twisting hair 111- Apply a temporary colour 112- Create an image 113- Health & Safety 114- Reception duties 003-Shampoo & condition the hair and scalp 215- The art of dressing hair 217-The art of colouring hair
What you need to get on
A minimum of grade 2’s in both Maths & English. This course is designed so that learners are to experience a chosen vocational subject whilst allowing the time to work towards achieving 4s within Maths & English. A positive attitude, desires to learn & a good character reference must be evident on enrolment. A willingness to be a model throughout the duration of the course for all units.
