The L1 Diploma gives learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills in the Protective Services and Outdoor Education sectors and supports progression on to further study. Students enrolled on this course will study core units and then a range of subject specific units which will provide students with opportunities to learn from their peers & practice their skills in a sporting environment. The course is an introductory programme aimed to give an oversight into these different areas of Protective Services and Outdoor Education and is designed to provide a broad foundation of skills and knowledge across a range of modules. It will involve a mixture of practical and theory modules and is assessed via a range of methods including projects, practical demonstrations, and assignments based on realistic workplace situations, activities, and demands.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs at grade 2 or above, including English GCSE at Grade 3. Learners must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment for their chosen study programme and successfully complete an academic interview.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
