The Level 1 Award in Bricklaying is a City and Guilds qualification which focuses on the basic practical principles for the absolute novice to build confidence and underpinning knowledge. This course is perfect for those who are interested in the bricklaying industry and/or are keen to develop some home DIY skills. You will cover the following units, and will be assessed in three mandatory units: - Introduction to health and safety - this unit will teach you the importance of health and safety in the construction industry - Constructing half-brick walling - this unit will teach you how to set out and build brick walls to given specifications and measurements - Constructing half-brick return corners - this unit will teach you how to set out and build half brick return corners in stretcher bond You will need to bring your own safety boots along to this course. Sessions will run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm. This course will run for 24 sessions.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
