What the college says

This one year study programme will provide you with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours for those interested in a career in the equine sector. The course includes classroom-based sessions as well as practical activities on our Equine Centre and around our campus, and includes a work experience placement.

What you need to get on

Successful completion of secondary education. A satisfactory reference from your most recent school, college or employer. Successful interview. You do not need any previous experience or qualifications in animal care.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
