What the college says

This course is the starting point for people who hope to have a career in bricklaying, and consists of both practical and theory elements. Employers will expect good attendance, good behaviour, good communication skills enabling you to interact with clients, work safely, and use initiative as well as having bricklaying skills. Achievement of the qualification will be on completion of all the units, passing externally set Health and Safety test, and externally set core and subject knowledge tests

What you need to get on

2 GCSEs grade E-G equivalant, Entry Level 3, or another relevant Entry Level qualification. You will have a pre-induction interview/ assessment to make sure this is the right level for you.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
