What the college says
The duration of this apprenticeship standard is 36 months. (Depending on experience this time could be shorter.) An operations/departmental manager is someone who manages teams and/or projects, and achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives, as part of the delivery of the organisations strategy. The completion of this standard will require monthly training visits from a qualified IPS Trainer to develop the apprentice's skills and progress the build of the apprentice portfolio to prepare the apprentice for End Point Assessment.
What you need to get on
The entry requirement for this Apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or higher. Apprentices without level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
