This course focuses on developing students� knowledge and understanding of the English Legal system and areas of private and public law within the law of England & Wales. The main topics covered include: Nature of the Law and the English legal system, Criminal Law, Tort Law, Contract Law and Law Making. Students will learn about different sources of Law and the role Law plays in society, as well as exploring law and morality, law and justice, and the rule of law.

What you need to get on

Five GCSEs grade 9-5 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language and English Literature or History at grade 6 as a minimum.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
