What the college says
This course will be delivered online via Zoom. You will need to come into the centre at Croydon Clocktower for one session nearing the end of the course so that you can complete the speaking and listening assessments which need to recorded in person. The Tutor will let you know in advance, the date and the time for these assessments. This complete beginners course is suitable for learners who have never learned the language before or who have a very limited knowledge. It will cover first contacts, basic "getting to know you" phrases and ordering drinks and snacks in a café. You will work towards the SEG Awards (Skills and Education Group is the Awarding Body) SEG Entry 3 Award in Spanish This involves compiling a small portfolio of assessments done in class which will then be internally and externally verified. All fees include the cost of this accreditation.
What you need to get on
No prior knowledge of the language is necessary. Learners must have a good standard of both spoken and written English.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
