What the college says
This course assumes you have studied French for 2-3 years and can cope in an informal social situation including making references to the past. You will work towards the SEG Awards ABC Level 1 Award in Reading and Writing in French (Skills and Education Group is the Awarding Body). This involves compiling a small portfolio of assessments done in class which will then be internally and externally verified. All fees include the cost of this accreditation.
What you need to get on
You should have at least 2-3 years’ of study and the ability to get by in the language, holding short, simple conversations, employing the present and simple past tenses.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
