What the college says

This complete beginners course is suitable for learners who have never learned French before or who have a very limited knowledge. It will cover first contacts, basic "getting to know you" phrases and ordering drinks and snacks in a café. You will work towards the SEG Awards (Skills and Education group is the Awarding Body) Entry 3 Award in Speaking and Listening in French. This accreditation is based on work done in class or at home to build up a small portfolio, there are no examinations. The SEG Awards registration fee has been included in the course fee.

What you need to get on

No prior knowledge of the language is necessary.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.
