This course will cover the basic rhythmic and expressional vocabulary of Kathak - an ever evolving form of Classical Indian dance. Focussing on posture, co-ordination and a range of movements enriched with Indian music, the training will give an access into the practice and appreciation of this dramatic dance form that embodies beauty and soul. Achievement on your course will be measured by whether you meet the following course learning outcomes. At the start of the course you will have an opportunity to discuss these with your tutor and set your own personal targets, linked to the learning outcomes and future goals i.e. progression to an advanced-level course
