Try more difficult tunes and conventions with more practice at 'comping' and improvising. You will need a working knowledge of jazz harmony in order to develop your playing on this course. Ideal for graduates of jazz piano 1.

What you need to get on

You should have completed Jazz piano 1, or have otherwise learned to use shell voicings for II V I cadences in all major keys.You need experience of listening to jazz piano and the ability to understand and interpret diatonic chord changes in standard lead sheets. You need to be confident in your use of the modes of the major scale.Please check the City Lit website for details.
