What the college says

The Certificate in Health and Social Care aims to give you the opportunity to provide an educational foundation for a range of careers in Health and Social Care. It will have you to develop a range of skills and attitudes essential for working in the Health and Social Care sector. You will also be able to further develop your communication and team work skills.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade 9-4 (A*-E) including English and maths and/or equivalent. An Initial Diagnostic Assessment also has to be completed before you are enrolled; you need to achieve Entry 3 English to be accepted on to the Level 1 course. This is to ensure you are put on the right course at the right level.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
