Introduction to the Construction Environment (Females Only) - Level 1
at Blackpool and The Fylde College, Blackpool · college
What the college says
This female-only construction multi skills evening course has been developed exclusively for women who would like to sample and learn some of the key trades related to the construction industry. It has been designed both to enable students who might want to enhance their existing practical skills to enable them to take on small scale DIY jobs at home or for friends and family and for individuals who are thinking of a possible career within the construction industry. Arranged over 10 weeks, the course gives students the opportunity to experience a number of different trades and hopefully get a feel for which ones might suit them best were they to go on to further study. Created specifically for female students who might feel more comfortable learning in a women-only environment, the course also aims to build confidence, communication and resilience whilst working within a team and also as an individual. As well as the female-only course, we offer the same course to a mixed gender group if that would be preferable.
