This qualification prepares learners for further learning and training and develops a basic knowledge of childcare in early years settings and it considers childcare and development from birth�5 years 11 months. The units include subjects such as the management and organisation of an Early Years setting and the value of play.
What you need to get on
This qualification is aimed at a range of learners who are thinking of working in an Early Years setting including: young people mature learners parents volunteers learners with special educational needs or where English is an additional language.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
