What the college says

This course receives Tailored Learning funding. When you enrol on this course you are agreeing to complete paperwork to reflect and record your progress. Attendance is vital, so first check that you are available to attend each lesson. You will gain an understanding of the main modalities of counselling; the fundamental principles of therapy and the key skills involved in active listening. Some of the various pathways to becoming a therapist will be outlined (there are many!). If you are in receipt of Universal Credit or your income is below the current threshold then you may be eligible for the fees to be remitted. To check if you meet the requirements please contact ACL on 01727 737154 or email acl@oaklands.ac.uk.

What you need to get on

Students need to be 19 years old and over to join. A large part of each session will involve experiential interacting (eg. (This will be carried out in a safe and secure way.)
