What the college says

This course is designed for people with an ambition for a career in the Beauty industry. It will provide you with a good introduction from which you could progress to further courses. During the course, you will be introduced to practical expertise and some knowledge of the industry. You will receive help and support with your academic skills to help you progress onto further courses. Please be aware that as part of your practical lessons, students learn the treatments on each other. Further development is then performed on paying clients.

What you need to get on

You will need to achieve 3 GCSEs grades including English and maths grades 3-2 (formerly D-F). Alternatively successful completion of a Foundation Entry Level 3 qualification and have achieved an Entry Level 3 or higher English and Maths. Each applicant will be assessed on their individual merits, and a keen interest & self motivation in Beauty as a career is essential. In addition to the qualifications, you will be required to complete and pass a practical trade test.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
