Aimed at pianists between grade 5-8 standard, this course is designed to offer a deeper understanding of the technical requirements, stylistic interpretation and performance of a broad range of intermediate piano repertoire. Emphasis will be placed on fostering healthy, ergonomic technique, tone production, pedalling technique and the co-ordination skills required to deliver confident and coherent performances at the piano. Classes will also cover important aspects of music theory and musicianship. A regular practice routine is essential for progress at this level.
