This programme will give you the skills you need to work in today's motor vehicle repair industry, including the diagnosis of system faults and an insight into emerging electric and hybrid vehicles. On this practical course, you'll get hands on experience in the very best state-of-the-art workshops, working on the latest models. The course provides essential knowledge for those who want to work as a vehicle technicians in all types of dealerships and maintenance depots and garages. What will I study? -Your study programme will include practical and theory sessions where you will learn how to conduct fault finding processes and diagnosis of vehicle systems. You will learn all aspects of each system and develop your knowledge and practical skills throughout the course. You will learn how to conduct fault finding processes and diagnosis of vehicle in key skill areas include: -Diagnosis and rectification of auxiliary electrical faults -Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle engine faults -Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle chassis systems -Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle transmission and driveline. As part of your study programme you will be given the opportunity to take up work experience in the automotive industry, working with local employers to further enhance your employability skills and knowledge. You will build up a portfolio of practical work, which can be taken to job interview as evidence of your skills #, through set practical tasks and projects

What you need to get on

How will I be assessed? -You will be assessed throughout the programme by use of practical assessments within our workshops and also via online assessments. You will also need to build a portfolio of evidence that will be submitted to the awarding body at the end of the programme. How will I be taught? -You will be taught in our workshops in the purpose built facility on the Team Valley with its state of the art facilities for the Automotive Industry, this centre will be the flagship for training in the sector and you can be a part of it. You will gain the knowledge and practical skills required for the motor vehicle trade, with tutors on hand to guide you through each aspect of the course. Qualifications Needed: -Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Required Experience: -You do no need any prior qualifications to take part in this course.
