This Level 2 course is an excellent opportunity for you to develop a sound knowledge and understanding of horse care and riding through both practical and theory-based sessions. The course includes valuable work experience which will enable you to develop reliable practical skills in the equine industry and on the College equine yard. All students participate in yard duties throughout the year alongside their main programme of study.

What you need to get on

A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English, maths and science

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
