The Edexcel BTEC Level 2 Award in Home Cooking Skills have been developed to give learners the opportunity to develop: the knowledge, understanding and confidence to cook meals at home. an understanding of how to economise when planning a meal an ability to transfer skills learned to different recipes an ability to inspire others by transferring that knowledge.
What you need to get on
Entry Requirements Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Basic knowledge of food.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
