What the college says
This course is available for learners who are interested in the T-Level Health qualification but do not have the required grades to meet the entry criteria. This coure will introduce you to a Health and Social qualification with a mixture of assessments. This is a transition course, so all skills and knowledge learnt will enable learners to progress on to the T Level qualification. This course is perfect if you have a passion for Health and Social Care but need to re-do your English and Maths GCSEs. This course is perfect if you’ve completed Level 1, or you’re already at a more intermediate level and looking to develop existing Health and Social Care skills and knowledge.
What you need to get on
3 in GCSE maths, 3 in GCSE English and 2 in GCSE science (Preferably Science CORE). A introduction assessment to be undertaken at enrolment to assess suitability for the course Preferably some knowledge and skills of the Health and Social Care sector Clean DBS (DBS to be done in-house at the college when learners start)
How you are assessed
Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
