The Health and Social Care Extended Certificate is suitable for anyone interested in people, their lives and their experiences of health in society. This is an applied course and so the knowledge and understanding you gain will be applied in real life situations and work-related contexts giving you a wide range of transferable skills and experiences. You will be working in a variety of ways which will involve: Research Working independently and with others Presentations Using a variety of resources Planning and evaluating your work Visits and placements This qualification is equivalent to one A Level, meaning that students can study this qualification alongside two other A Level subjects. The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers as contributing to meeting admission requirements to many relevant courses, for example Nursing, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy
