What the college says

This course can provide you with the opportunity to explore health and social care in its broadest context and aims to develop independent learners who are able to successfully progress in to health and social care related professions. The qualification has been designed to develop knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the health and social care sectors and the roles played by workers – from principles and values through to health and social areas such as learning disability or mental health.

What you need to get on

•Three GCSEs at grades A*to E/2 including GCSE English at grade 2 or above •You will also require a good reference from school •You will also need to provide evidence of previous work experience in a related area Students will normally take part in an interview prior to being enrolled on the programme.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
