You do not need any prior qualifications or a specific level of attainment to take this qualification although you will benefit from having English and maths skills at Level 1.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
