Are you interested in becoming a make-up artist or hair stylist? This course will prepare you to Level 2 in order for you to progress onto a Level 3 programme

What you need to get on

You will require a minimum of 4 GCSEs including English and maths grades 9-3 (formerly A*-D) and ideally also including a science grade. Alternatively successful completion of a relevant Level 1 vocational relevant qualification and have achieved a Level 1 Functional Skill in English and Maths. In addition to the qualifications, you will be required to complete and pass a practical trade test

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
