Geography A Level
at Archway School, Stroud · school or sixth form
What the college says
A level geography provides the opportunity to deepen your understanding and enjoyment of the natural world alongside an increased appreciation of the complexity of social and environmental issues in an increasingly complex and urbanised world. It will aide your understanding of the interactions between human populations and their physical landscapes and how we are shaping the world around us. The course offers the opportunity to undertake a residential field visit to Boscastle. You will undergo the enquiry process to study fluvial activity along the local river for two days. There is also the exiting opportunity to complete an Individual Investigation into a topic area of your choice. Collecting primary data in the field, undertake analysis of your findings and comparing it to other academic research before drawing your conclusions.
