The core Physical Geography is built around two main topics, Physical Landscape Systems and the Water and Carbon cycles. Carbon and water cycles focus on the inter-relationships between the land, oceans and atmosphere. Students also explore one chosen landscape from three options-coastal landscapes, glaciated landscapes and hot desert landscapes -most likely to be glaciers- in a systems framework. The choice of a physical option lies between the study of hazards and ecosystems.

What you need to get on

Entry into the Sixth Form requires six passes at GCSE Level (Grades 9-5) including English and at least a Grade 4 in Maths. The entry requirement for this course is GCSE Grade 6 in Geography if taken or Grade 5 in English.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
