What the college says
This specification is a traditional specification that covers many aspects of both human and physical geography throughout the two year course. AS students will take two one and a half hour written exams covering all topics including fieldwork and geographical skills. A level students will also take two exams both of which are two and a half hours long. Students at A level will also submit a 3000-4000 word report based on fieldwork investigations.
What you need to get on
Students should achieve at least a B grade at GCSE. In addition students must have a subject teacher recommendation.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
