What the college says
You will improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills as well as developing a range of the skills that you will need in higher education and in the world of work. Your teacher will monitor your progress closely and provide you with the personalised support that you need to support your development of academic skills, preparing you for further study. As well as improving your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, you will develop your range of general and academic vocabulary and consolidate and extend your knowledge of grammar. In a wide range of classroom activities, you will practise and apply your skills in practical and useful contexts and situations. Your teachers will guide you as you develop your accuracy and confidence when writing assignments, taking part in discussions, delivering presentations and talks and taking notes in lecture and other academic contexts. We will provide you with the skills you need to achieve your target IELTS score and to be successful in university studies and in your future career. Term dates are available on our website. Timetables may be subject to minor changes. Our maximum class size is 20 students though average class size is usually much smaller. Course length is dependent on your visa but we expect students to attend a minimum of 6 weeks. Class times are Monday to Friday 09.15-12.15 and Monday & Tuesday 12.45-15.45
What you need to get on
You should be over 16 years of age. Although placement is normally based on IELTS scores, students will be given an assessment on arrival in the UK so that we can accurately record your starting point and map out your learning journey. Visa requirements: short-term Student Visa (up to 11 months)

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
Not on the Section 96 list, but a school or college runs it full time, so check the age range with them.
