What the college says

This English course is for international students at elementary and pre-intermediate level (IELTS 3.0 to 4.0, CEFR A2 to B1) who want to develop their English skills in order to progress onto General English with Academic Skills courses. The UK is the home of the English language, so there is no better place for you to master your English skills both inside and outside of the classroom. Our flexible courses allow you to start studying any week of the year and ensure that you can progress to a higher level as soon as you are ready. Our maximum class size is 20 students, however average class sizes are usually much smaller. The length of your course depends on your visa, however we expect students to attend a minimum of six weeks.

What you need to get on

You should be over 16 years of age. Before you start the course, you will do an assessment to determine your current speaking, listening, reading and writing level so that we can accurately record your starting point, place you in the best class for you and begin to map out your learning journey. Visa requirements: Short-term Student Visa (up to 11 months)

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
