What the college says

We offer GCSE Biology and GCSE Chemistry as separate courses. You can do one or both if these courses. The exam board we use is Edexcel. Either one of these GCSEs is suitable for progression into Primary teaching or healthcare courses such as nursing. The next courses start early September 2023. Biology classes are available with a choice of Wednesday morning or Wednesday evening. Chemistry classes are on Tuesday evening. For more information e-mail kevin.gill@don.ac.uk

What you need to get on

There are no specific entry requirements but English and Maths at grade D (or equivalent) would be helpful as English and maths skills form part of the assessment outcomes for the course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
