This is a one-year intensive course offering secondary school leavers a second chance to improve their GCSE results to gain the entry requirements to progress onto one of our vocational courses or onto an A Level programme at our Sixth Form in Angel.A Grade 4 or higher in GCSE English, Maths and Science is a requirement for many higher education courses and careers. Lessons will combine theory lectures and practical sessions, many of which will take place in our specialist science laboratories.

You will need:To be aged 16-185 x GCSEs at Grade 3 or above including Maths, English and ScienceStudents usually require an internal assessment to determine their suitability for the course.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
