This course is for adults who want to improve their maths skills for everyday life, work, or further study. It is suitable for learners who have not yet achieved a Level 2 Functional Skills Maths qualification or a GCSE grade 4. It also supports those who want to build confidence in maths for personal or family reasons. This course is for people who need to achieve their GCSE Maths grade 4 or 5 within 5 months.

What you need to get on

This course is free if you do not already have a GCSE maths qualification or if you achieved a grade 3 (or below) under the current grading system. Before enrolling, you will meet with a Learning Advisor and complete two short assessments to confirm that this is the right course for you.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
