What the college says
Studying GCSE English at First Rung will help you to increase your confidence in understanding and using English in both the work place and in everyday life. With the support of your trainer we will support you to understand how to appropriately use language to improve your verbal and written communication skills. GCSE in English is highly valued in the work place and will support your journey to further study and employment. Our GCSE English classes are small to ensure you have the maximum support of your trainer to help you to prepare for your exam.
What you need to get on
There are no specific entry requirements however a previous Entry 3 or Level 1 English qualification is ideal.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
