What the college says
Hazelwick’s package of one-year Level 2 courses is designed for students who have just missed out on 5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above. The Level 2 course will boost the qualifications that you achieved in Year 11. By choosing the Level 2 courses the year can either provide a stepping-stone to further education, employment or Level 3 courses.
What you need to get on
A minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade 4 plus a minimum of 2 GCSEs at grade 3. You must also show evidence of a positive attitude towards school work and a determination to work to the best of your ability, good motivation, flexibility and ability to work both independently and in a team
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
