What the college says
The AQA English Literature GCSE has been designed closely with teachers to inspire, challenge and motivate every student, regardless of ability level. A range of texts is included to cater for the needs of teachers and students in all educational contexts. There are texts that will be familiar, as well as new ones that will inspire young readers. At The Courtyard we study Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol, An Inspector Calls and the Power and Conflict poetry anthology.

A keen interest in reading, authors, history, culture and politics.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
