What the college says
If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 (C) in English GCSE, then this 1-year course gives you the chance to improve your English skills and to re-sit the examination alongside your main course of study.
What you need to get on
Sixth Form entry requires a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above or equivalent, including at least a grade 4 in Maths or English. Should you not achieve a grade 4 or above in English or Maths then you will be required to continue to study these qualifications or equivalents in Year 12 and Year 13 if necessary.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
