If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 (C) in English GCSE, then this 1-year course gives you the chance to improve your English skills and to re-sit the examination alongside your main course of study.
What you need to get on
Students who have not achieved grade 4-9 in GCSE Maths and English are required to take the GCSE alongside their course(s).
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
