If you have not yet achieved a grade 4 (C) in English GCSE, then this 1-year course gives you the chance to improve your English skills and to sit/re-sit the examination.
What you need to get on
You should have already achieved a Level 2 Functional Skills English. All applicants will complete initial and diagnostic assessment and will be required to produce evidence of prior learning. You will be contacted by a member of the team to arrange initial assessment prior to the next course starting.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
