This course is perfect for anyone who has a passion for Film. But, it may also be a great choice for students who enjoy subjects like: English Literature, Art, D.T. and History. With a focus on the mechanics of Film as an art form, this course enables students to understand and analyse the language of movies. This knowledge is then used to underpin explorations into the social , political and historical context and its impact. Students are also given the opportunity to use the department’s industry standard equipment to create their own short films, or to develop their script writing skills to be assessed internally.

What you need to get on

All A level courses or TWO A levels and ONE vocational course: Students must achieve a min of 5 subjects at GCSE grades 4 or above (including English Language and Maths) PLUS the relevant subject specific entry requirements. For a programme of 2 vocational courses and one A level: we would accept ONE KS4 level 2 Merit in place of a GCSE For a programme of 3 vocational courses only: we would accept TWO KS4 level 2 Merits in place of 2 GCSEs, full entry requirements can be found in our prospectus.
