Within this course, you will study social groups and systems whilst gaining a deeper understanding of the world around you, investigating social issues that are often relevant to your own experiences. In sociology, important concepts include the rise and evolution of feminism, the division of society based on factors like class, ethnicity, age, and gender, and the impact of government laws and social policies. Additionally, the subject covers various research methods used in sociology and the exploration and application of different theoretical viewpoints. During this course, you’ll study: Socialisation Culture and Identity Researching and Understanding Social Inequalities Debates in Contemporary Society.
