Psychology is the scientific study of people, particularly how and why we think and behave as we do. Although it is a relatively ‘new’ Science with much yet to be discovered, studying it will give you a much better understanding of yourself and other people and the skills learned are transferable. Psychology uses the scientific method of careful research, experimentation and statistical analysis and requires you to learn to be numerate, use logical reasoning and to express yourself clearly and concisely in writing. During this course, you’ll study: Core studies: classic and contemporary studies. Research methods: the process of planning, conducting, analysing and reporting psychological research across a range of experimental and non-experimental methodologies and techniques.
