This course is particularly aimed at able students with a strong interest in pursuing mathematical subjects. It will broaden and deepen your mathematical knowledge and skills, then taking further maths alongside A level maths may be for you. Further maths is a facilitating subject which means it will also prepare you for a wide range of higher education subjects. Some universities may require further maths for entry to maths degree courses. It will give you a range of transferable skills including logical reasoning and problem solving that are useful in a range of careers.

Grade 8 at GCSE Mathematics or the Level 2 Certificate in Further Mathematics.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
