Psychology is the scientific study of mind and behaviour. Psychologists study a wide variety of human behaviour such as the influence one person can have on another, the processes which cause us to remember or forget information, and the causes and cures for mental disorders. What are the aims of the course? To explore core areas of Psychology and understand psychological theories, studies, research methods and findings. To explore applications of Psychology and to consider psychological issues and debates.

What you need to get on

Standard entry requirements: 5 GCSEs graded at 4 or above (counting 2 BTECs maximum). A grade 4 in English or Maths In addition to the normal entry requirements for an advanced course, students must also have a grade 5 in English or Maths or grade 5 in GCSE Psychology (if studied)

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
