Psychologists use behaviour as a clue to the workings of the mind. Over the years an enormous amount has been learnt about the relationship between the brain, mind and behaviour. Although Psychology is associated with the treatment of mental disorders, this is just part of the course. Students will develop essential knowledge and understanding of concepts, theories and studies in relation to different areas of the subject studied and how they relate to each other. Areas covered include: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Research Methods, Biological Psychology, Social Psychology and Individual Differences.

What you need to get on

Grade 5-5 and above from GCSE Combined Science or grade 5 and above from any GCSE triple science subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
