This new qualification will place greater emphasis on understanding and applying iterative design processes. Students will use their creativity and imagination to design and make prototypes that solve real and relevant problems, considering their own and others' needs, wants and values.

What you need to get on

To study Product Design at A Level, students must achieve five GCSEs at Grade 4 including: Grade 4 in GCSE English Language, Grade 4 in GCSE Maths and Grade 5 in GCSE Design Technology or related subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
