Religious Studies is an academic subject which benefits students in multiple ways. Students learn how to build and interrogate arguments and how to question and evaluate narratives. It helps students question and explore morality and ethics and what is right for individuals and society; it gives you different lenses to study and consider the world, helping you to develop your own voice. RS helps you to understand peoples faiths and lifestyles as well as the religious history and context of the UK and the world; it is an excellent platform for debate, which helps students in a multitude of career projections. Students often talk about cross-curricular links at A-Level, namely Sociology, History, Science, Psychology and English. In recent years we have had students attend prestigious universities to study a wide variety of subjects such as, Philosophy and Theology, Mathematics and Philosophy, Social Work, Law, Psychology, Medicine, Dentistry and Animation.

What you need to get on

A minimum Attainment 8 score of 60. A grade 6 in GCSE English Language and Maths. A grade 6 in the subject you wish to study (or two grade 6s if you wish to study a science and took Combined Science at GCSE). How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
