Encompassing philosophy, ethics and theology, you'll enjoy Religious Studies if you are fascinated by life's big questions. You'll need to be interested in the viewpoints and perspectives of others and enjoy essay writing. Religious studies has great relevance to modern life, ethical questions being of concern to many professionals, from the engineers designing driverless cars to doctors making decisions on health care. Religious Studies can be useful across a variety of careers and complements most other A level subjects.

What you need to get on

Applicants will need to have a minimum of 5 grades 9-4 GCSE’s including English and Mathematics. Internal applicants who meet the minimum academic entrance requirements will be offered a place automatically (subject to availability of courses). All successful applicants will be required to sign a sixth form code of conduct in recognition of the Academy’s expectations of sixth form students in terms of their behaviour, punctuality and attendance.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
