Grade 9-4 In five GCSE Subjects (or eqivalent) Including English and/or History or Geography. There is much reading in the course and the ability to absorb new vocabulary rapidly is important. Grades 9-4 in Science and Mathematics are also an advantage as there is greater testing of mathematical skills.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
